The Health Authority of Abu Dhabi said that the number of health insurance violations during the past year was 2806 indicating that the violation is related to the non-registration or non-renewal of the registration by the employer or sponsor in the health insurance system as far as the insurance coverage of employees is concerned.
Mr. Helal Khamis Al Muraikhi Director, Customer Care and Corporate Communication told “Emaratalyoum” that any person can file an official complaint for the delay in obtaining a health insurance card, so that the Authority can follow up the issue according to the health insurance law and its executive rules that stipulate that the applicant can file an anonymous complaint which will remain confidential and will not affect the relationship with the employer. The records of the employer will be checked, the company will be visited and the violation will be examined.
