UAE – Companies compelled to inform customer on orange card

The Insurance Authority sent a directive concerning the extension of insurance policy coverage of vehicles outside the borders using the orange card, where insurance companies are compelled to check the willingness of the insured to obtain coverage for the Sultanate of Oman.
The Insurance Authority issued a number directives confirming that the geographical limits covered in civil liability insurance are exclusively covered by the orange card according to the Federal Law No 56 of year 1975 issued on 15 November 1975.
