Jordan – Health Insurance Study delayed
Monday, 01 11 2016, Category: Insurance and Reinsurance, Country: Jordan
Experts and citizens confirmed that despite the huge efforts of the government and its failure in the health insurance field, it still did not achieve comprehensive insurance and still did not tackle its challenges.
Experts and citizens still ask questions about this issue such as: What did the health insurance study reach? Why did the promises of the prime minister to finalize the study last year was unfulfilled? Why did it not to allow the Health Insurance Department in collaboration with the University of Jordan and related parties to complete the study especially given that most of the information and statistics are available at the Department?
About this issue Mr. Khalid Abu Hudeib, the ministry's health insurance director told “Al Ghad” that “huge efforts have been spent in this regard” indicating that the Jordanian Prime Minister Abdullah en-Nusur asked previously the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation to look for the financing of the study “in order to charge the research center of the University of Jordan with this study”.
