Morocco is aiming at extending health insurance to liberal professions, which do not benefit from health insurance offered by the state.
The Moroccan Minister of Health H.E. Dr El Hussein El-Ouardi said that the government has the ambition to extend health insurance to all citizens before the end of the year.
El-Ouardi said two day ago in a meeting in Casablanca with the leaders of the Party of Progress and Socialism to which the minister belongs that “by the end of the current year, we would have completed comprehensive health insurance”. He added “I am committed to that”. This means that the government will address the issue of independent professionals who do not benefit from any health coverage or retirement benefits in Morocco.
