Monday, 07 20 2015, Category: Insurance and Reinsurance, Country: Middle East
Insurance fraud and claims leakage became worrying issues for insurance companies around the world including companies based in the Middle East.
A “2014 Middle East Economic Crime Survey” conducted by “PricewaterhouseCoopers” showed that 5 percent only of fraud cases were uncovered by internal auditing, compared to 22% were revealed by intelligence information, whereas 16% were found by coincidence; which indicates the big gap in the methods used to uncovered fraud in the region.
In order to provide faster and less costly fraud analysis “SAS” provides an innovate method to fight insurance fraud in the Middle East SAS® Fraud Framework for Insurance through cloud computing. The role of this new solution expands beyond the scope of strengthening the competency of the examiner and lowering cost, in order to safely use the cloud computing facility of “SAS”.
