The Health Authority of Dubai aims to link the residency of expatriates to health insurance by the end of the current month according to the health insurance law adopted by His Highness Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, and emir of Dubai.
The Chairman of the board of directors of the Dubai Health Authority, Mr. Humaid Mohammed Obaid Al Qatami said that the 31st of the current month of July is the last day to register for the second phase of the executive plan of the health insurance law which stipulates that companies with 100 to 1000 employees have to provide health insurance by this date.
He mentioned that this phase will cover approximately 600 thousand employees in the Emirate of Dubai through the health insurance law, praising the positive response of numerous companies to the second and third phases of the executive plan of the law at an early stage.
Many companies provided health insurance many months ago, whereas other companies are still waiting for the deadline in order to register for the second phase.
