United Arab Emirates – Health and Dental Insurance

There is no doubt that the initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, which will provide care for workers is of significant importance on the humanitarian and health levels as it will take care of a large segment of society that works day and night to build this emirate and deserves to be taken care of in return. This initiative will not only ease the pain of workers but the employers who are required to provide treatment services for them as well as dental care remains the most expensive service employers have to provide and is usually not covered by health insurance. It is worth noting that dental problems cause people unbearable pain most of the time and spreads to other parts of the body.
This initiative is of significant importance and it will undoubtedly cost a lot of money, as witnessed by citizens and residents when paying for treatments at private clinics, especially that the majority of health insurance programs don’t cover dental care or cover at most 20% of the cost.
The campaign His Highness the Crown Prince has launched to support this segment of society has urged us to discuss health insurance for individuals in oral and dental health and the reasons health insurers refuse to provide 100% dental care coverage or coverage by more than 50% despite governmental and non-governmental institutions allocating large budgets for insurance.
