The appointed consultant at both the ministry of commerce and the ministry of justice and member of the Insurance Committee at the chamber of commerce of Jeddah, Dr. Omar Zuheir Hafez told “Al Riyadh” that the implementation of compulsory health insurance on all Saudi citizens which was expected to start 2 years after the complete coverage of formal residents in the kingdom, could not be feasible currently since it would constitute an accumulation of pressure on health facilities whether they are public or private.
Dr. Omar Hafez indicated the importance for the minister of health Mr. Khaled Al Falih to have adequate coverage of all files and all hurdles that impede the activities of the ministry, in such a way as to guarantee solutions.
