Mr. Ahmad Mursi the chairman of the engineering insurance committee in the Insurance Federation of Egypt said that the committee is still studying the rules governing properties against risks in order to establish a natural risk pool.
He indicated that the committee requested from insurance companies a survey of claim notifications which they received during the past period in order to build a global vision for the pool.
He added that there are numerous catastrophes and indemnifications related to insured companies and which are exposed to large losses. Therefore, the Insurance Federation of Egypt tried to review the price rates applied in covering these risks.
