The Deputy General Manager of the Arab Reinsurance Company Mr. Hussein Mallouk in an interview with “Ta’min” magazine tackled the challenges facing the insurance and reinsurance industry and the potential solutions through human capital development, improving customer service, exploring new markets, improving the company rating that is negatively affected by the sovereign rating of Lebanon, maintaining positive results, software improvement, boosting communication, diversifying investments, and establishing medical claim Third Party Administrators as well as contributing to asset management companies. In general, the Arab reinsurance market undoubtedly faces challenges in both the technical results achieved and the strong competition from international reinsurers. Therefore, the Arab Reinsurance Company will continue its conservative and prudent underwriting strategy. Finally, the Deputy General Manager confirmed that the ReTakaful window of Arab Re will keep on fully serving its customers.
